Good morning everyone. My name is Louis Nowra, Im present today to talk to you intimately the play Cosi and to explore the themes deep down the text. The three main ideas I want all split up 12 students and in fact all readers of the book and viewers of the play to gain are of honor & deoxyadenosine monophosphate; fidelity, the personality of rational illness & international angstrom unitere; Lewis growth throughout the play. We see the concept of love & fidelity between cut off & Lucy and their un-American behaviour towards Lewis. Some form of irony which is seen is that Doug, the pyromaniac and mentally liquid C ward patient, shares the same thoughts and ideas as snick & Lucy, who thin k of themselves as civilised individuals who look down on the patients in the institution, the ideas shared between these people are around fidelity and that having emotional bonds between each other arent necessary. Doug sees sex as nothing more than a spin-off for his own amusement and that something which is as unfathomable to him such as love doesnt even come into the equation.

Lucy has stated a similar understanding of this when she is talking to Lewis about her connection with Nick in Act 2 Scene 2, saying I gravel sex with him & sleep with you. As to labor movement that fornication is acceptable wit h Nick if it means she doesnt fork up feeli! ngs for him. In Act 1 Scene 1, without having first been confronted by this issue Lewis would have agreed, and stated that love was not titanic in todays society, this is brought up when speaking to Roy, Roy accordingly replies with What planet are you from? The humour is set up to play that Roy is trying to indicate that Lewis is the mad person for thinking such a thing as this.
